Strengthening ISS as Contributions to National Economic Recovery

As a Bank Indonesia (BI) Mengajar 2021 (Bank Indonesia Teaching) series, the Central Bank of Indonesia held BI Mengajar general lecture in UIN Antasari through Zoom Cloud Meeting, Thursday (November 8, 2021). This program carries the theme “Strengthening Innovation, Synergy, and Social Awareness (ISS) as Contributions to National Economic Recovery”.

The event was held by Bank Indonesia in collaboration with FEBI UIN Antasari Banjarmasin. Yusuf Assyahri took a role as the moderator who directed the course of the event attended by UIN Antasari students, faculty members, and Bank Indonesia scholarship awardees (GenBI) chapter Kalimantan Selatan.

In his opening remark, Head of South Kalimantan BI Representative Office, Amalison Sembiring said that BI continues to strengthen policy synergy and the implementation of BI-Fast with industrial players, within the framework of integrating the national digital economy and finance and providing the fast, easy, safe and reliable payment system to accelerate economic recovery, spur economic growth and financial inclusion.

Rector of UIN Antasari, Prof. Mujiburrahman, representing UIN Antasari academic members said that this program was very appropriate when the world economy was hit by the pandemic.

“What is happening now is not easy because the conditions forging are extraordinary. Therefore, to strengthen resistance we need serious concerted efforts,” said Prof Mujiburrahman.

The speakers are talking about the theme. R Bambang Setyo Pambudi and Dadi Esa Cipta explained that the task and role of the central bank is to maintain monetary stability, financial system stability, and payment system stability.
